Fascinating photographs are often taken during the hunt, capturing the diversity and fascination of hunting and nature. The organisers of JAGD & HUND, Europe’s leading hunting exhibition, now want to see precisely these images - and reward them! Therfore together with FACE (Federation of Associations for Hunting and Conservation of the EU) they have launched the first Europe-wide photo contest for hunting motives: “Europe’s Hunting Photo of the Year”.

Dortmund, 13 November 2024 – Whether it‘s impressive shots of big game or small game hunting, emotional portraits or exciting insights into game preparation – a top-class jury is looking for the best photos that capture unforgettable hunting moments. One jury member is going to be Tobias Westen, professional photographer and hunter. He will be joined by Christine Fischer, communicator and lecturer in hunting education and training (known on social media as ‘hirsch.und.co’), a member of FACE and other experts.



Participants across Europe will be able to submit their photos in four categories: Big Game Hunting, Small Game Hunting, Portrait and Game Preparation/Food. The jury of experts will then judge the submitted photos. The best works will not only be exhibited at JAGD & HUND 2025, but will also be honoured. The award ceremony will also take place during the trade fair.
