JAGD & HUND 2025 to present the next line-up of its popular competitions

Planning for the show's supporting programme now in full swing

Once again, Europe's biggest international hunting show JAGD & HUND 2025 is set to be a unique venue and opportunity for hunters, hunting enthusiasts, outdoor enthusiasts, dog and nature lovers to convene, engage and enjoy. The team behind the show is already working hard to deliver a superb event. As well as signing up exhibitors, a lot of planning work is going into the highly varied supporting programme and all the favourite JAGD & HUND features. Some highlights have already been confirmed, whetting appetites for the six days of the show from 28 January to 2 February 2025.

Dortmund, 17 October 2024 – One thing is clear: Two first-time features at the last JAGD & HUND were so well received by show-goers that they'll be included again this time. Visitors were – and are – fascinated by the variety of lure calls, and so the 'Wildlocker' game luring contest and the KIDZ FIEP World Championships are both set to continue.

Planning for both events is already underway. The 'Wildlocker' game luring championships will again see participants competing in three disciplines, familiarising people even further with the challenging art of animal calling. The contest is being organised in conjunction with hunting shop OVIS and the hunting magazine 'unsere Jagd – Im Revier zuhause' ('Hunting on home turf'), with high-quality prizes awaiting the winners. Registrations are already possible online. The KIDZ FIEP World Championships sponsored by Hunt on Demand focus on the up-and-coming generation, giving children between the ages of 6 and 16 opportunities to demonstrate their skills, showing how well they can attract roebucks without using any aids. Here too, exciting age-appropriate prizes await.

German Deer Calling Championship already an institution

The German Deer Calling Championship is anything but an inaugural event, celebrating its 25th anniversary last year. It's a real crowd puller and is now something of an institution at Europe's largest hunting show. Featuring a variety of disciplines, it's not just the material prizes that are up for grabs, but also qualification for the European Deer Calling Championships due to be held in Lithuania between 17 and 19 October next year. As always, the championship is organised in conjunction with the long-standing partner WILD UND HUND, the hunting magazine published by Paul Parey Zeitschriftenverlag.

The application stages for the other competitions have yet to get underway, so there's still time to get some practice in. To while away the waiting time, JAGD & HUND enthusiasts can already buy tickets to fuel their anticipation: tickets are now available in the online store on the JAGD & HUND website.
